Corrective Exercise
What is
Corrective Exercise?
Corrective Exercise is a technique that uses an understanding of anatomy, kinesiology, and biomechanics to address and fix movement compensations and imbalances in your body. It aims to improve the overall quality of movement during workouts and in YOUR everyday life.
Corrective Exercise is used to help assess and determine the root cause of these imbalances and the faulty movement patterns that lead to issues with posture, balance and total body coordination.
When Brian addresses your functional movement and the issues impeding it - especially at your feet, knees and hips - it will reduce the overall stress put on your body. By properly aligning your body, Corrective Exercise will help you reduce your risk of future injuries.
Thanks to these amazing CES strategies, YOU will be able to move better. Being able to move without pain, will open up a variety of new exercises and conditioning methods you may not have been able to perform otherwise, resulting in a stronger YOU!
Why is Corrective Exercise So Important?
Movement is a reality of everyday life regardless of if you work in an office building or are a professional athlete. Corrective Exercise is imperative in identifying and addressing imbalances that cause posture, stability and mobility issues.
Having a rich understanding of Corrective Exercise allows Brian to identify problems and potential limitations in your movement and address these issues before they become limiting. One of the most important elements of Corrective Exercise is a proper assessment. Using The National Academy of Sports Medicine’s Corrective Exercise Continuum, Brian will effectively assess your needs and develop a personalized solution to improve the way YOU move, feel and recover from a workout.

Prehabilitation Through Corrective Exercise
You may be familiar with rehabilitation, but what about Prehabilitation? Prehabilitation, or “pre-hab”, refers to Corrective Exercise programming meant to reduce the risk of musculoskeletal or overuse injuries.
Often employed as a proactive approach to strength, stability, balance and mobility in preparation for a surgery or other medical intervention.
This form of Corrective Exercise programming will help strengthen your body ahead of time to reduce your future risk of complications and quicken recovery.
What is Prehabilitation?
Prehabilitation will put YOU into the best position possible for optimal health and recovery following an upcoming surgery or other taxing medical treatment.
The general idea behind Prehabilitation is “better in, better out,” - the better condition the student goes into surgery, the better they will be after surgery.
